Sisterlocked Since 03-05-09

Hello all I started my lock journey on March 5, 2009 and it was one of the best hair decisions I have ever made. I absolutely love the liberation I feel with my locks. I am an easy going person on a journey to figuring out who I really am as I step further into life and my career I would love for you to visit my blog and experience my redemption at http://kayexquisite.blogspot.com, until next time,

Live, laugh and Love,

Nat's Locking Journey

Hello everyone
and thank you Maryee for inviting me to join LHBE. My locs are traditional and were started with two strand twists which I maintain with an interlocking tool I made. My locing anniversary is Mar/01/2009 and have been natural now for about 5 years. Since I was lurking and looking at some wonderful blogs for so long I decided to take the plunge and start a blog of my own. Hoping that I will learn more from my fellow lockers and possibly share something new with you. Check out my blog @ http://naturigurls-locjourney.blogspot.com/ Come share your thoughts and ideas with me.
Yours in this journey together

Nat

TJ's Sisterlock Journey

I have been documenting my hair journey since my BC in October 2007. I began my loc journey with 5 ½ inches of natural hair. My locs were born over the course of 2 days and 21 hours February 2009. I’m in the middle of three generations of Sisterlockers! It was because of the journeys of others that I have been able to make informed decisions regarding my hair. I pray that I can be of assistance to someone else seeking liberation from being held hostage by their hair.

Peruse, comment and enjoy. TJ's Fotki

A New Journey

Greetings, I have been natural for 4 years and loved every minute of it. I had braids for a long time and then one day, BAM I went to church sporting a Fro. At the time, I never thought I could be a loc wearer because I kept thinking "If I decide I don't like them anymore, I will have to cut off all my hair". The mere thought of that was more than I could bear. I started locking my two oldest sons hair in March '08 and my younest son's hair in August '08. Still, I never thought I could be a loc wearer - but then I started to give it more thought and the more I thought about it, researched different methods, lurked through different blogs and worked on my sons locs, the more I started to long for them myself. After overcoming some huge fears in '08 - I decided to end the year jumping an even bigger hurdle - jumping into the land of LOCS. I gave birth on December 20th to 435 braidlocs. The best thing about them is, I did them all myself. Yippee for ME. LOL!! It was a lot of work but well worth it. I've been asked if they are sisterlocs which is quite a compliment because Sisterlocs are truly beautiful but, I would never spend that much money on my hair (don't mean anybody any harm, that's just my opinion). So, check me out , http://afrolady-theupperroom.blogspot.com/ because I will certainly be checkin' you out (wink!) don't forget to leave me some positive vibes!!
Peace Lovies!!
